Sunday
90 minute EH is ABOUT damn perfect

Monday
14 hour day, grinding until 10:30 on jury instructions.

Tuesday
Jury gets a break, we are arguing evidence and jury instructions all day. Judge is a saint.
But we are done by 5:15 and hit CT for
6+6 offset deads 28kg
5-1 + 5-1 descending snatch ladder, 20kg
5+5 offset cleans, 20kg
15+15 28kg single arm swings
x3
Then 5x5x5 snatch, 20kg to 15 swings 28's
x2

Wednesday
Grind of a day and we rest.
Throw object for dog and sip scotch.

Thursday
Back in office for the day, prepping for next week's crosses. More new work comes in. Nuts. I may need to hire yet another.

CT confirms and its down to wood floor for simple and fast:

5+5 double jerks, 24, then two 28.
5-1+5-1 24kg snatch
straddle stance press and stretch
15/15 single arm swings, 28's. CT on the 24, insane.

Good quick and sweaty.

Friday
Pradeep, very good.

I have all the witnesses coming up, motions to be heard and major oppo.

Sat
All work, no dog walk, no nothing.

Sunday
Start at 8, straight to 1:15. Brunch.
Back and grind until 10:00.

Monday
Argue motions.
Jury comes back, devastating cross. Weekend's work pays off in spades (I hope) judge let's me go, hit it. Like I said, physicality has to go for a bit. Spent, back in office until 7:15 and done.

Tuesday
In to argue motions, lose the little stuff but we'll win the big stuff. Work late, tomorrow the first of two big days. Then be special master Friday. Hope for workout Thursday and yoga Friday but looks really dicey.

Wednesday
Hammer drops, we do not do well. Very late in office prepping for what now appear to be critical crosses next week. Time to bring it.

Thursday
Second day of defense. Unnecessarily long cross by defense has oxygen sucked out of courtroom by 10:00. Sarcastic and arrogant meet egotistical and bumbling. Not good. We get the last word and it better be good and clean.

Back to office, Late and feel weak. Do it, it will not get better unless you do.

60 alternating 16kg single arm swing warm up. Feels snappy and strong.
That evaporates with press work, which sucks.

10 alternating 24kg overhead press;
8 28 KG goblet squats
5+5 28 KG rows
10+10 step back lunges, bodyweight. Just stay square, feel entire foot on floor, weight through heel, simple, clean.

Bite with CT and back to clean dog.

Friday
Special Master duty and goes very very well.  But don't finish until very late, so no yoga, bummer.

15/15 16kg seven rep pace x 70.  Fine.

Grinding all day, out back to work out in the odd eclipse light, gotta be light and feel like pushing

5+5 24 kg press
24kg tgu

Press groove way out of whack, gets better and better but my press is weak.  A lot of ground to get back to where I was six weeks ago.

Want to do 100 swings but grip shot, don't push it, save it for a better day.

Want this to be over.  Way too much stress and toll.

Hiatus

Last week was light and this week turning out to be nonexistent.

Trial is a sprint and a marathon at once. The need to spend an hour in the office in the morning from 7:30 - 8:30 and return for two hours in evening is all consuming.

It is time to let it go. Something's gotta give and right here, right now, it's the lousy 6-8 hours per week I spend on physicality. I miss the endorphin rush, the hormone flood. For now not the guy who gets to spend his hours and days moving toward heavier and heavier weights. Rather, it's cortisol flood, the stressed client, the demanding judge and fucking 800.00 (each) an hour opposition for a bit here and something has gotta give. This'll be done soon enough and I'll get back to it.

Dog walk with Rose and Brigid; could not love that more. Then work.

Trail, nada

Friday
Deposition, nada, save dinner at Radio Africa Kitchen with CT.  Good food but I am shitty company, spinning in the Bayview.

Saturday
Walk with Rose and Ian, work all afternoon.
Get out at 5:30 for medium circuit
60 single arm 16kg swings, alternating
5/5 long cycle clean and press, 24kg to 1/1 32.  32's barely.
10 24kg Goblet squats
10+10 32kg presses
20 32kg swings
x5
Whole thing feels like slogging through wet cement
Need to go to yoga tomorrow.

I am not accustomed to being weaker than previously.
